Terms of Service
Last updated September 2026
Welcome to Kalama
By creating an account or using the Kalama app or website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Kalama.
What Kalama is
Kalama helps you discover events, places, and plans happening near you, and helps you build them into an itinerary for your day or night. Some features are free; others require a paid subscription, described below.
Accounts
You need an account (email-based) to use Kalama. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
Subscriptions and payment
Kalama offers a free tier and a paid subscription tier with additional features, including the AI planning agent. Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis (monthly) and automatically renew until canceled. You can cancel anytime; your access continues through the end of the current billing period, and we don't provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period unless required by law.
Prices are shown in the app at the time of purchase and are subject to change with notice.
Posting events
If you post an event through Kalama, you're responsible for making sure the information is accurate and that you have the right to post it. Kalama reviews posted events before they go live to help keep the platform free of spam and fraudulent listings. We reserve the right to remove any posted event that violates these terms, is misleading, or is inappropriate.
You retain ownership of the content you post, but you grant Kalama a license to display, distribute, and promote it within the app as part of the service you've requested (for example, through paid promotion features).
Prohibited use
You agree not to use Kalama to:
Post false, fraudulent, or misleading event listings
Harass, threaten, or harm other users
Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
Interfere with or disrupt the app's operation
Use Kalama for any unlawful purpose
Third-party content
Kalama surfaces events and information from a variety of sources, including third-party platforms and user submissions. We do our best to keep this information accurate and current, but we can't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any event, venue, or listing at any given time. Always confirm details directly with the event host or venue before making plans, especially for anything involving cost, timing, or entry requirements.
Disclaimer of warranties
Kalama is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recommendation will meet your expectations. Use your own judgment, especially around safety, when attending any event or venue discovered through Kalama.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kalama and its owners aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including anything related to events, venues, or plans discovered through the service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting support.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
